NATIONAL RIDESHARE MONTH WITH JUSTIN BOOGAARD OF GOGO GRANDPARENT; DOWNSIZING, HOARDING & MOVING YOUR PARENTS WITH EXPERT & AUTHOR MARTY STEVENS-HEEBNER, Train Your Brain Day Exercises, National Gratitude & Positive Attitude Month Multigenerational Mentoring, 5 Senses Design for Calm
In our 1st episode for October, host and gerontologist, Sherri Snelling, has two great expert interviews to share:
- (28:56) Justin Boogaard – Co-Founder and CEO of GoGo Grandparent
What began as a rideshare concierge for older adults, the company has now grown into a service that makes everyday life easier by connecting seniors and people with disabilities to essential services. With just one phone call, you can order rides, groceries, meals, prescriptions, and even home help—without needing a smartphone or app. From Uber for Seniors and Lyft for seniors to local delivery providers, GoGo handles the details so older adults and family caregivers can focus on living independently, safely, and with confidence.
Sherri and Justin discuss how to ensure the safety of rideshare for older adults, how services in the home can be done with just one concierge – GoGo, how staying active in community and with social connections is key to health and longevity for all ages and how the company is working with hospitals, health plans and other providers and health care services to integrate GoGo Grandparent into their comprehensive suite of services that benefit physical, mental and social health.

2. (1:08:01) Marty Stevens Heebner – CEO of Clear Home Solutions and Founder of AgeWise Alliance, Marty is also the author of “How to Move Your Parents (And Still be On Speaking Terms)”
Clear Home Solutions helps older adults and family caregivers downsize into a smaller home, clean up clutter and identify mental health issues of hoarding, prepare a plan and help older adults move to a senior living community. AgeWise Alliance is an online resource for finding financial, legal, in-home care, senior living communities, home moving resources and more.
Marty and Sherri discuss having the talk with older parents about moving or downsizing, what to know about hoarding versus just having clutter, how we can let go of things but keep the memories and more.
