As an authorpreneur, corporate gerontologist and CEO/Founder of the Caregiving Club, Sherri Snelling has been a lifelong bibliophile. Her love of reading and writing came from her strong bond with her maternal grandmother who was a short story writer and author.

Sherri recently debuted her second book, Me Time Monday – The Weekly Wellness Plan to Find Balance and Joy for a Busy Life focusing on the neuroscience meets nature and 7 elements of wellness for both caregivers and all adults to live a happier and more joyful life. The Me Time Monday concept is a popular employer workshop and was a chapter in Sherri’s first book, A Cast of Caregivers – Celebrity Stories to Help You Prepare to Care. Sherri currently hard at work on her third book, The Snug Home – A Family Caregiver Guide to Well Home Design (target publication date 2024).

In the meantime, the Caregiving Club team has curated our favorite caregiving books in various categories below. We know caregivers have scarce little time to read, but if even for a few minutes every day or every week (as we advise in our Me Time Monday program), it can actually improve your mental and physical health to escape into a good book. While any book will improve your wellness, the list below is also created to aid family caregivers on their journey with great resources that help you be a better caregiver but also help you care for yourself. Happy Reading!

Caregiver Self-Care and Wellness – This list is broken into the 7 categories from our Me Time Monday program: PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, FINANCIAL, INTELLECTUAL AND SPIRITUAL.
