Since 2023, corporate gerontologist, Sherri Snelling, has served as a consultant and spokesperson for the annual Comfort Keeper’s National Day of Joy celebrations held the third Wednesday in June. This year’s events will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Snelling’s role includes collaborating on messaging, media interviews, events and social media support for Comfort Keepers and their franchisees who are hosting 100 National Day of Joy events around the country on the last Wednesday in June during Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Month.
Comfort Keepers, a leading national in-home care service provider for older adults and their families, chose Snelling as their National Day of Joy spokesperson and partner because of her thought leadership as a nationally regarded gerontologist with an expertise in caregiving, positivity psychology and brain health/dementia, but also for her vast experience being interviewed on a variety of news outlets including TV, radio, podcasts, articles, etc.
“Sherri Snelling has been a great partner for our National Day of Joy activities as well as many of our media appearances not only because she is a nationally regarded gerontologist but her expertise in caregiving, positivity psychology and brain health/dementia fits with our mission to support the joy in aging and to elevate the human spirit, “said Saudia Gajadhar, Chief Happiness Officer for Comfort Keepers.
